In the 2009 - and 2010 for us Europeans - were players really a game for the "hardcore". It was a game that did not take into account that you were a beginner. It did not take into account that it just was your mother who should try your PS3. It did not take into account youtube videos that you started to cry and throw the controller, when the 117th time was trumlet down by a huge stone that rolled down from the top of the stairs. It did not take into account that you could not handle the pressure ... of playing Demon's Souls.
Demon's Souls was - and the real remains - a game that does not take into account the player's real abilities. It has been called the most relentless game ever on PS3 and we are actually quite agree. For many this meant, youtube videos however, that the game was not played for very long, because many simply gave up. Developers From Software, which was behind Demon's Soul, has recently unveiled their next game, which is not a real sequel to Demon's Souls, but still is very much in the same vein. The most immediate difference is that Dark Souls, as the next game that is called, is open-world. It is thus possible to travel around in one big world as they please and this would even happen without youtube videos load times. This sounds like a perfect way to improve an already very good game, but personally I sit now with sweat, the developers have actually promised youtube videos that Dark Souls will be even harder than Demon's Souls and says among other things that we should youtube videos expect "to die 1000 times" in the game, it's time to remove the cord from your Move controller or Wiimote and attach it to the Dual shock or Xbox 360 controller instead, so it does not accidentally meet an unexplained, opposite magnetic pole in one of the house's four walls.
However, it is obviously not impossible, now that they still share the "Souls" part, and it may well be that From Software has a larger plan with it. We shall see.
